Santa Who?

So for those of you who were wondering, Izzey didn't even mention Santa's name December 25th. A few people have since asked her what Santa brought her and she seemed perplexed by this line of inquiry. When nudged by Mommy, Izzey tells people he brought her a pink Wheelie car which incidentally cost "Santa" $2.00 and was one of 5 presents in her stocking. Regardless, my conscience is clear - I preserved Santa for a kid who couldn't have cared less.

The big guy in a red suit aside, Christmas was wonderful. My parents came over bright and early for chaotic present opening and cinnamon rolls. (Side note - where have I been? Who knew cinnamon rolls from a tube were that good?) Later that day we enjoyed a delicious "gravy dinner" (you just have to be there!) prepared by my Mom and Dad. Yes Mom - your best EVER!

Do you sing a song while lighting the Hanukkah candles? My Jewish housemate in college taught us the song her family sang while lighting them -- we did it every day of Hanukkah, even the evening that she wasn't at home!
I like the photo of Marc and Izzey with the candles.
