Ian is right about one thing - he most certainly is two years old. (Izzey is actually four, not five as Ian insists) We just celebrated Ian's second birthday with an apropos firetruck party. Putting aside that Ian has just started biting me when things don't go his way, we have lots to celebrate. Ian is the most lovable, adorable little guy you can imagine.
His favorite word is MYSELF, as in "I do it MYSELF Mommy". I love this about him even though every single task now takes twice as long to complete! Close runners up include "M&Ms", "me me me too", "Izzey", "READ READ", "high five" and Mommy's favorite "hugs, hugs".
Ian loves playing with anything transportation related - choo choos, cars, and of course TRUCKS. He is happy to sit in your lap for hours reading the same books over and over again chit-chatting all the while. He absolutely adores his big sister and talks about her constantly when she is at preschool. Ian lights up like a Christmas tree when Daddy gets home from work. He holds a pen like an adult and will tell you which letters he is writing (kinda). Ian has all the best qualities of the generations before him: his Daddy, his Grandad Richard, and of course his Grandpa Groovy.
Gramma Purse puts it best - Ian is just a gem.
Happy 2nd birthday Ian! Hugs.Hugs.
